Gluten Free Bisquick Banana Bread
This Gluten Free Bisquick Banana Bread is delicious! My family loves it when the bananas turn brown just so I can make them a loaf! Sometimes I wonder if they don’t eat the bananas, just so I can make this special treat!
Banana loaf has always been a favorite of mine! There’s nothing like the smell of it baking and the anticipation for the loaf t0 come out of the oven so you can slice it and melt the butter on it!
I can remember my mom making it when I was a kid. I loved helping her make it and couldn’t wait for it to be cooled enough to eat.
Our family usually races to lay claim to the ends of the loaf! You get the best of both worlds in the end; the crisp outside with the soft and warm inside. Absolutely delicious!
I know many people put walnuts and other nuts in their recipes for this bread. I on the other-hand; usually like the flavor of the bananas to be the focus and the bread to be smooth not crunchy. Even though they both taste great; it all comes down to personal preference.
While on a family vacation on one of the Hawaiian Islands; we came across a homemade baked goods stand along side the road. They made the most amazing loaves of bread in all different flavors! I absolutely loved their banana bread; as it had macadamia nuts in it which really changed the taste and texture from what I make at home.
I like my banana bread to have more bananas than most recipes; for more flavor and a softer inside. I have adjusted the bisquick recipe to reflect my personal favorite blend for banana bread.
I hope your family enjoys it as much as mine does!
