Gluten Free Turkey Lettuce Cups
Gluten Free Turkey Lettuce Cups; inspired by P.F. Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps, one of my favorite birthday treats!
While not an exact duplicate; they are a great substitute when I am craving P.F. Chang’s!
Super easy to make and a family favorite; you can make these as an appetizer, party snack, lunch or dinner! I’ve made them for all of the above and they are always a hit!
Fresh and light; they can be served in the lettuce cups as shown or with rice. Over rice; they are much more filling and are not as light.
My favorite ingredient that I found which makes this recipe fantabulous is Kikkoman’s Gluten Free Sweet Soy Sauce for Rice! It gives the soy sauce just a hint of sweetness to tame the bitter and salty flavor I usually don’t care for.
Adding in the water chestnuts gives the added crunch to this mix. There’s something about water chestnuts that makes a recipe stand out to me! I almost always notice them and think, “I need to use these more often”.
I love serving these little cups on a warm summer day; sitting on the patio with an ice cold beverage, while enjoying the sights and sounds of my backyard. So refreshing and relaxing!
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do; here is the recipe:
