Meet Mama B!
Hello! I am “Mama” B (aka Rachel)! I became “mama” as soon as my first born, Ashley, could speak! My heart melted as soon as I heard this little word from her sweet little mouth! Since then; “Mama” has stuck! All three of my children call me “mama” so naturally when I decided to create my Gluten Free blog; I wanted to be known as “Mama B”.
There are lots of great mamas out there sharing amazing food tips and recipes! When I find great information; I want to be able to share their information with you too! My passion is to help others find gluten free recipes and tips easily; as it was not easy when we were first diagnosed with gluten intolerance to find information.
I have been blessed to be a full time mama since we welcomed our third child, Ayden, into our lives. Before then; I worked full time with a horrible commute that did not allow me to be home to spend a lot of time preparing and cooking a huge meal. I found that I needed to utilize the crockpot to ensure my family had healthy home cooked meals to eat before heading out for sports!
We are the typical American family with teenagers involved in multiple sports; including select sports. Year round training, games and team bonding activities, limits mama time so I have to get creative sometimes! Being gluten free does not allow for quick drive through meal opportunities if we all want to feel good and eat healthy. On occasion we will stop by a Jimmy Johns for an “unwich” or a Subway for a gluten free sandwich or salad.
Now a days we have the one pot/ pressure cookers to help decrease meal prep times when we stop on our way home to grab groceries for dinner. Lots of great kitchen gadgets available to help deliver healthy, simple, home cooked meals to our family dinner table!
Thank you for welcoming me into your kitchen to help you make healthy food your kids will enjoy and bring your family back to the dinner table where you can spend time together.
