WHOLE 30 DAY 7
Welcome to my Whole 30 Day 7! Every morning when I wake up the first thing I do is get out my Whole 30 Day to Day Journal. I read the tips and notes from Melissa Hartwig to inspire me for the day. It’s important to write everything down I eat for the day to be able to look back and reflect after 30 days are successfully completed!
I start each day with a 2 tsp shot of Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar followed by 8-10 oz of water; to help with the cleanse and gut healing part of this journey.
Here’s a quick summary of Day 7:
Breakfast: Apple Cider Vinegar, Stuffed Turkey Poblano Pepper with Avocado, Water
Morning Snack: Mango and Cashews, Water
Lunch: Blueberry Rx Bar, Chomp Beef Stick, Water
Afternoon Snack: CHOMPS Beef Stick, Water
Dinner: Pesto Cod, Stuffed Turkey Poblano Pepper, Water
Evening Snack/Dessert: Chocolate Sea Salt Rx Bar, Water
Notes: I am noticing I need to snack more than I have in the past and make sure I drink plenty of water! My blood sugars got a little low today during the middle of the day because I got busy and forgot to eat lunch before I had to leave to pick up my preschooler! The “emergency meal on the go” became an Rx bar and Chomp stick! Not ideal, but it did the trick to get protein and nutrients in.
Day 7…Week 1 was a huge success! Before starting Whole 30 I was not recovering well from knee surgery; stiff knee, inability to walk without pain, constant limp on my left leg, leg pain waking me up during the night, couldn’t bend or straighten my knee normally due to the inflammation and my knee was visibly swollen all day. After 1 week of Whole 30 I am pain free in my knee, the swelling and inflammation is gone, no limp when walking, no pain with walking, I am sleeping through the night and I feel amazing! I cannot express how good my entire body feels from eliminating the dairy, sugar, acid, grains, sulfites, diet soda and alcohol! I seriously love how my body is feeling! My face is slimmer looking, my clothes are looser, and I am down over 10 pounds after just this first week! (I know I’m not supposed to get on the scale, but I had to know how this was affecting my weight in addition to how amazing I am feeling!) I am now done with week 1! I’m ready for Day 8….the beginning of Week 2!
