Gluten Free Turkey Fritters
When you are in the mood for gravy; it doesn’t matter what time of day it is! Gluten Free Turkey Fritters and gravy are absolutely delicious; especially with a dollop of sour cream and some green onions sprinkled on top. It may not look very pretty, but it will have your taste buds screaming for more!
I recently watched a video from Natasha’s Kitchen where Natasha was making Chicken Fritters which inspired me to make them gluten free with ground turkey rather than chicken. If you haven’t seen Natasha in action; check her out on her blog: www.natashaskitchen.com. I just love watching her make delicious dishes! She makes everything look so easy and mouth watering!
Weekend mornings my family never knows what they are going to get because that’s when I have extra time to try out new recipe ideas and have taste testers that aren’t afraid to say exactly what they think! Everyone enjoyed these turkey fritters; some plain and some with all the fixings. I ate one plain and one all dressed up! The gravy added great flavor to make it very rich; however, I preferred it plain. My husband loved it with all the fixings and the kids liked it with a little gravy. These could also be served over toast with a little gravy drizzled like S.O.S….that brings back memories from my childhood!
Using ground turkey these fritters were really easy; like making hamburger patties. You just throw everything in a mixing bowl, put on a pair of gloves and squish the ingredients together like you’re kneading dough. Then form your patties and fry them up in a pan. It truly was as simple as Natasha made it look!
Here is the recipe for these scrumptious little fritters:

Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Turkey
- 2 c Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 c Mayo
- 1 Garlic Clove; pressed
- 2 tbsp Chives or Green Onion; diced
- 2 tbsp Parsley
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
- 1/4 c Flour
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
Instructions
- Place parchment paper down on counter top for formed patties.
- In large mixing bowl combine all ingredients; except olive oil.
- Using your hands; knead ingredients together to mix thoroughly. (I prefer wearing gloves!)
- Scoop up half cup of mixture and form into a ball; squish into flat patty approximately 1/2" thick.
- Continue making patties until mixture is used completely.
- In large skillet warm olive oil over medium heat.
- Add patties in single layer and cook; flipping to make sure patties are cooked throughout to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
- Remove cooked patties, place on platter and continue making remaining patties until all are cooked.
- Serve fritters plain or with turkey gravy, sour cream and sprinkle of additional green onion.
